The heart of home entertainment
As we all know, there's a great big world of home entertainment out there. But as anyone with a passion for TV and on-screen entertainment of any kind knows, keeping on top of all your options has never been easy. Until now.
Humax has always been a leader where smart, useful, high-performance TV products are concerned - and now it's revealed Aura. Aura is much more than simply a set-top box or a PVR - it's a next-generation hub that delivers complete control of all your TV and home entertainment requirements, quickly and easily.
No matter if you're passionate about live TV, on-demand viewing, gaming, music, YouTube streaming or catch-up TV (or all of them), Aura delivers almost limitless entertainment options from one box, in one place.
Aura combines a whole host of cutting-edge technologies to deliver a home entertainment experience like no other. It's powered by Android TV, which means you can use your Google account to access all your favourite apps and games from the Google Play Store - there are thousands currently available, including Disney+, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and plenty more besides.
But wait, there's more
Aura is home to Freeview Play, too. It's the most popular TV platform in the UK, and for good reason: here's where you can watch live TV, and access over 20,000 hours of on demand TV and more than 700 box-sets.
Browse up to seven days in advance in order to set reminders or schedule recordings. Or scroll back up to seven days, just to make sure there's nothing you've missed.
There are seven on-demand players integrated into Freeview Play, including BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and My5. And if two (or three, or four) of your favourite programmes happen to be on at the same time, Aura's multiple digital TV tuners allow you to record up to four shows at once, all while you watch a fifth.
Because Aura is available with a whopping 1TB of on-board memory, or an even-more-whopping 2TB, anywhere between 500 and 1,000 hours of recordings can be stored right there on board. So you can catch up with your favourite programmes at your convenience.
Of course, Aura lets you enjoy all of this entertainment in the highest-possible quality. It's a 4K player and recorder, and can handle HDR10 high dynamic range, too - so you can enjoy the sharpest, most detailed, highest-contrast and most colourful picture quality available anywhere. And thanks to its Dolby Audio compatibility, sound quality is just as impressive as picture quality.
Just ask, and you shall get
Navigating this huge amount of content is no problem, either. Aura is supplied with a full-function remote control - and thanks to its built-in Google Assistant feature, you can also use your voice to get exactly what you want.
Just ask Aura to change the channel, access the content you want, adjust the volume, get on-screen answers to your questions… you're in control. And, of course, any compatible smart home devices on your local network can be controlled this way too. So if you want Aura to adjust the temperature or dim the lights, for instance… well, just ask.
There's Chromecast built-in, too. This means that in the unlikely event that you can't find anything you want to watch from its enormous selection of programming, you can cast content stored on your phone, tablet or PC straight to your TV via Aura.
And it might just be possible that you'll let the rest of your family join in the fun. That's why Humax has fitted Aura with a special Kids' Zone - it’s loaded with favourites for little ones, and there’s a special 'Kids' button right there on the remote control.
What's more, you don't even need to be in front of your TV to enjoy the benefits of Aura. A number of features can be accessed via the Humax Aura app on your smartphone, including the ability to schedule recordings or set reminders from anywhere, stream recordings around your home, and download shows to watch offline and when you’re on the move.
So basically, Humax Aura is the only place you need to go for everything you want to watch, play or do. It’s the engine, the brains and the heart of home entertainment.
